Yemen condemns occupation’s crimes against civilians in Syria, Lebanon and Palestine

Sana’a, SANA-The Yemeni House of Representatives has strongly condemned the continued Zionist crimes and attacks with US and British support on residential neighborhoods in Syria, Lebanon and the occupied Palestinian territories, Particularly, targeting a residential and commercial building in Mazzeh neighborhood on Tuesday, which led to the martyrdom of seven civilians and the injury of 11 others.

“This crime against security personnel constitutes a blatant assault on civilian life, a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of an Arab state, and a challenge to international laws and conventions related to human rights. “Saba News Agency quoted the Council as saying in a statement.

The Council added that the continued Arab silence regarding the massacres and war crimes committed by the occupying Zionist entity against the sons, resources and sanctities of the nation, in full view of the world and the international community, which has abandoned its responsibilities and false claims to protect human rights.

The Council reiterated Yemen’s firm stance in support of the Palestinian cause and the issues of the nation until the Zionist occupation is expelled from all occupied Palestinian and Arab territories.

Four people martyred in an enemy raid on Hafir area , Baalbek

Beirut, SANA- Four people were martyred and another person was injured in an Israeli raid on Hafir area in Baalbek.

“The Israeli enemy aircraft carried out a raid on a building in Hafir area, west of Baalbek, which left four martyrs and one wounded who was rushed to the hospital”, according to a statement by Lebanese National News Agency.

Lebanese Health said Wednesday that five people were martyred and 12 others were injured in Israeli aerial raid on Wardaniyeh in Chouf district.

Iraqi resistance targets Israeli enemy in northern occupied Palestine

Baghdad SANA-The Iraqi resistance Thursday targeted two vital posts of the Israeli enemy north of the occupied Palestinian territories.

The resistance said in a statement that, “In continuation of our approach to resisting the occupation and supporting our people in Palestine and Lebanon, and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against civilians, including children, women and the elderly, our fighters attacked a vital target north of our occupied territories using drones.”

In a second statement, the Iraqi resistance announced the bombing of a vital enemy target for the second time this morning in the north of the occupied territories using drones.

The resistance affirmed the continuation of operations to destroy enemy strongholds at an increasing pace.

The Iraqi resistance announced Wednesday evening that it had targeted a vital target of the Israeli enemy in Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat) in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Israeli aggression targets a factory in Hassieh city, in Homs and a military site, Hama

 “at about 1:00 am Thursday, the Israeli enemy carried out an aerial aggression from the direction of northern Lebanon, targeting a car assembly plant in the Hassieh Industrial City in Homs countryside and a military site in Hama.” A military source said.

The source added that the losses resulting from the aggression were limited to material ones.

Death toll from Israeli aggression on Lebanon rises to 2141-Health Ministry

Beirut, SANA-The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced Wednesday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on Lebanon has risen to 2,141 and 10,099 wounded.

“22 martyrs and 80 wounded were recorded during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number since the start of the Israeli aggression against Lebanon to 2,141 martyrs and 10,099 Wounded,” The Lebanese National News Agency quoted the Public Health Emergency Operations Center of the Ministry as saying in a statement. 

The Israeli enemy’s brutal attacks and violations of international humanitarian law continue by targeting populated residential areas throughout Lebanon.

7th Syrian Fine Arts Days event kicks off _Culture Ministry

Damascus / SANA- The Directorate of Fine Arts at the Ministry of Culture launched on Wednesday the 7th Syrian Fine Arts Days for the year 2024 at Damascus National Museum.

The activities of the event, which continue until the 24th of this month, include the opening of fine arts exhibitions in public and private halls in the governorates along with specialized seminars at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Damascus University in support of the Syrian research and critical fine arts movement.

Syrian-Sudanese talks on boosting health cooperation

Damascus, SANA-Health Minister Dr. Ahmad Damirieh discussed Wednesday with the Chargé d’Affaires of the Sudanese Embassy in Syria Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Hassan ways to enhance joint cooperation in the health sector between Syria and Sudan .

Dr. Damirieh noted the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries, pointing out the necessity of scientific cooperation to advance the Arab Board, as Syria pays great attention to this field, as it has made great efforts and made the necessary preparations to return the offices of the General Secretariat of the Arab Council for Health Specialties to its headquarters in Damascus.

In turn, Dr. Hassan stated the importance of renewing health agreements between the two countries, especially in the field of pharmaceutical industries, in addition to sending delegations from Sudan to benefit from Syrian medical expertise.

More than 42,000 martyrs since the beginning of Israeli aggression on Gaza

Occupied Jerusalem, SANA- Over the past 24 hours, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced that the Israeli occupation committed 3 massacres in Gaza Strip, killing 45 martyrs and 130 wounded.

The ministry said in a statement on Wednesday that the number of victims of ongoing occupation aggression for the 369th day in a row on Gaza Strip has risen to 42,010 martyrs, and 97,720 wounded, while a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them.

The ministry pointed out that the occupation continues to target hospitals and facilities in the northern Gaza Strip with the aim of displacing its people, as well as separating the northern areas from the rest of Gaza Strip and preventing ambulance crews from reaching the martyrs and the wounded.

Two martyrs, several wounded in ongoing Israeli aggression on various Lebanese regions

Beirut, SANA- Two Lebanese citizens were martyred and others were injured in the continued Israeli aggression on a number of Lebanese regions.

“An Israeli aerial raid on Saida town, west of Baalbek, caused the martyrdom of a citizen and the injury of others, among them three women, while a member of Lebanese security forces was martyred in an enemy raid on Kfar Tibnit town in Nabatieh district”, Lebanese National News Agency said in a statement on Wednesday.

Also, two Israeli drone raids targeted two bulldozers were working to remove the rubble of Tuesday’s raids that targeted Tayr Dibba town, Tyre district, leaving six injuries, some of whom are in critical condition, the statement added

Meanwhile, in Marjayoun district, the enemy warplanes raided Khiyam and other towns.

Damascus University ranks 1501+ in the Times Higher Education World University

Damascus, SANA- Damascus University has ranked among the Times Higher Education and Research rankings in its world version, or what is known as the Times Higher Education World Rankings, to be the first Syrian university to obtain a rank in this ranking.

Dr. Marwan Al-Ra’i, Director of the University’s Classification Office, stated in a statement to SANA Wednesday that Damascus University ranked 1501+ out of 2092 universities that were actually included in this ranking.

Al-Rai pointed out that Damascus University is the only Syrian university that has met the research threshold condition and exceeded the specialization condition to be actually included in the ranking.

He said that the Times Higher Education World University Rankings is considered the most important educational and research ranking in the world, and the university’s achievement of a rank in its international version is an added value to it, given that it is included among the best 2092 universities in the world.

‏Al-Rai added that the Ranking in its last version is based on 18 different and comprehensive main criteria such as the quality of research, the quality of education, academic reputation, the success rate for PhD and undergraduate students.

Occupation forces arrest 20 Palestinians in West Bank

Occupied Jerusalem, SANA-The Israeli occupation forces arrested on Wednesday twenty Palestinians in different areas in the West Bank.

Wafa Agency reported that the occupation forces stormed several neighborhoods in Hebron, Qalqilya, al-Bireh, Nablus, al-Arroub camp, al-Samu town and Idhna in Hebron, al-Ram in
Jerusalem, Kafr Malik in Ramallah, Beit Fajjar in Bethlehem, and Jaba in Jenin
and arrested 20 Palestinians, including a child.

The Israeli occupation forces arrested more than 11,200 Palestinians in the West Bank since the start of the war of extermination in the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023

Lebanese resistance confronts two infiltration attempts by Israeli enemy forces, southern Lebanon

Beirut, SANA- The Lebanese resistance announced that its fighters repelled two infiltration attempts by Israeli enemy forces towards the towns of Blida and Labbouneh in southern Lebanon.

“In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and in support of their valiant and honorable resistance, and in defense of Lebanon and its people, our fighters detonated an explosive device on Wednesday at dawn against a force of Israeli enemy soldiers and clashed with them when they tried to storm Blida town, inflicting injuries among their ranks them”, the resistance said in a statement.

“As Israeli enemy force attempted to advance towards the Labbouneh area, our fighters targeted it with artillery shells and rockets and achieved direct hits, which led to its retreat”, the resistance noted.

Israeli occupation closes the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron to Muslim worshipers

Occupied Jerusalem, SANA-The Israeli occupation authorities closed Wednesday the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron city in the West Bank to Palestinian worshipers until next Saturday.

WAFA agency quoted the director of the mosque, Moataz Abu Sneineh as saying that the occupation authorities closed the Ibrahimi Mosque Wednesday in the face of Palestinians to allow colonists to celebrate one of their holidays, noting that the closure process includes closing the main gates of the mosque and preventing all employees of al-Awqaf from being inside it.

In turn, the Director General of the General Administration of Endowments in Hebron Hajj Ghassan Al-Rajabi spoke about the ongoing attacks on the Ibrahimi Mosque and the prevention of the dawn call to prayer for the 27th consecutive day and the decision to close it starting today, so that closing the mosque for four consecutive days has become an unprecedented reality, and falls within the unprecedented encroachment that Muslim Palestinian holy sites are exposed to.
