Wherefore Art Thou America ?

Wherefore Art Thou America ?

Paul Craig Roberts

When I attended Georgia Tech, it was an engineering school with math, physics, and chemistry departments, a school of architecture, a school of design, and a school of industrial management. The student body totaled about 5000 and consisted almost entirely of Georgia young men. There were a handful of foreign students, and a handful of women in master degree programs that were not offered at women’s colleges.

Georgia Tech was supported by Georgia taxpayers. As a Georgia resident, my tuition was about $450 a year, a price most parents could afford. For those who could not, Georgia Tech offered co-op programs. At that time, Georgia Tech was on a quarter system, not a semester system. The co-op program operated by attending school a quarter and working for a firm for a quarter. The work quarters produced the income for the students education. It took longer to graduate, but many graduates ended up working for the firms where they had been co-ops. In those days there was a demand for graduates that does not exist today. Every graduation at Georgia Tech was accompanied by recruitment booths setup by many American corporations in an effort to recruit Georgia Tech graduates as employees.

There was no such thing as, and no need for, student loans. No students in my day graduated in debt with loans equivalent to a mortgage payment.

In those days, if you graduated from Georgia Tech, the only employment question you faced was which of the many job offers you would accept. In my case, I decided on graduate school.  My GPA was barely a 3.0, but Georgia Tech’s reputation was such that I received offers of financial support, either scholarships or paid assistantships, from the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Virginia, and if memory serves John Hopkins University, the University of Minnesota and others. I chose Virginia, an absolutely beautiful campus of about 5500 students. Coats and ties were required for class attendance. And there was an honor system enforced by the students. The function of the university was to produce honorable and educated young men capable of carrying forward America’s future. Later, I sampled the coed university of California, Berkeley, a university of tens of thousands and at the time ranked with Harvard University, and then the men’s college of Merton at Oxford University. Compared to Georgia Tech, All subsequent universities were cakewalks.

I continue to receive the published propaganda from Georgia Tech, and I am pleased to see that the institution that taught me life was a serious issue has continued to prosper. But in the process of prospering, I have wondered if Georgia Tech has lost its character. For example, earlier in the 21st century I attended a graduation of a relative. As we walked the campus and I relived memories, we came upon call stations that said push the red button and the campus police will come to your rescue. I asked what this meant. He said that it is ordinary for tech students to be mugged on campus, allegedly by Atlanta blacks, not their own foreign students. I could not believe what he said.  It was inconceivable to me that the tough Georgia boys of my day were so intimidated by muggers from outside the Tech campus that they needed to call for police support. At the subsequent graduation ceremony, I understood the need for the red button call centers. A significant percentage of the graduates were petite Asian women.

As we walked the campus, we came upon my fraternity house, Phi Delta Theta. The colonial home sits on the hill, dominating the campus, as did the members of the fraternity in my time when there was no need of the massive combination lock on the front door. Phi Delta Theta was the home of the smartest Tech students and the football team, which in those days was nationally ranked every year.  Wade Mitchell, Tech’s quarterback and my fraternity brother, led Georgia Tech’s team to four bowl victories during his four years and graduated with a 4.0 point average. In those days to be a football player at Georgia Tech you had to be smart as there was no alternative curriculum. In those days there were only five postseason bowl games–the Sugar Bowl, the Cotton Bowl, the Rose Bowl, the Orange Bowl, and the Gator Bowl. Only the very best teams of the football season were invited to these events. Today there is a plethora of bowl games which amounts to nothing except a continuation of the football scene.

In those days, there were department chairman, a dean of students, a dean of faculty, and a president. Today there are endless administrative positions. From the latest information I receive as an alumni of Georgia Tech, the institution continues to evolve from the engineering and scientific origin that earned its reputation. Georgia Tech now has a School of History and Sociology and will offer Archaeology classes beginning in the spring of 2026. Georgia Tech has degrees in international relations and other such soft subjects, such as the Jimmy Carter School of Public Policy.  A photo of the next generation of entrepreneurs shows Indians, Muslims, and Hispanics. The Dunn Family Professor in the Scheller Collage of Business  is named Karthik Ramachandran. The President of Georgia Tech is Spanish born Ángel Cabrera Izquierdo, born in Madrid Spain. Even in the deep south American ethnics are disappearing from societal institutions.

The United States has evolved, or devolved, into a Tower of Babel, in which ethnic Americans are increasingly displaced in the society’s institutions.

To be clear, Georgia Tech president, Angel Cabrera, and the Dunnn family professor Ramachandran perhaps are the most competent holders of these positions, but they illustrate the multi-cultural Tower of Babel that is displacing the United States of America.

Wherefore art thou America?

Former Pfizer Vice President: COVID Shots Were ‘Designed To Cause Injury,’ Reduce Fertility

Dr. Michael Yeadon explained how the COVID injections’ lipid nanoparticles target ovaries and how top-down protocols such as opiates, ventilators, and Remdesivir ‘murdered’ patients.

Former Pfizer vice president and chief scientist, Dr. Michael Yeadon, has released a statement testifying that, based on his extensive training and vast experience, one can know with certainty that the COVID-19 injections were intentionally “designed to cause injury.”

Illegal Immigrant Charged with Murder One Day After Release by Virginia Authorities

Illegal Immigrant Charged with Murder One Day After Release by Virginia Authorities

“The Trump administration has issued sharp criticism of Northern Virginia law enforcement officials following a homicide that occurred one day after authorities released an illegal immigrant suspect from custody.

Marvin Morales-Ortez, a 23-year-old Salvadoran national residing illegally in the United States, stands accused of shooting and killing a man in his Northern Virginia home on Wednesday. The victim was discovered by officers who spent the afternoon and evening processing the crime scene.

The circumstances surrounding the suspect’s release have drawn intense scrutiny. Morales-Ortez had been taken into custody on Tuesday facing charges of malicious wounding and brandishing a firearm. However, the Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office made the decision to drop those charges, and police subsequently released him from custody.

Less than 24 hours later, according to authorities, Morales-Ortez allegedly committed murder.

The Trump administration has characterized the incident as a failure of so-called sanctuary policies in Northern Virginia jurisdictions. Administration officials have stated that “sanctuary politicians” in the region bear direct responsibility for the victim’s death, asserting these officials “have blood on their hands.”

Representative Abraham Hamadeh of Arizona addressed the broader implications of the case, indicating that the administration plans to establish a memorial honoring victims of crimes connected to what he described as immigration and fentanyl crises affecting communities nationwide.”

Imagine if the dark skinned immigrant invader had been a white American citizen. Do you think charges of malicious wounding with a firearm would have been dropped in the event the crime was committed by a white American citizen? Clearly Democrat administrations and bleeding heart Democrat prosecutors steadfastly refuse to hold immigrant invaders, who now have the privileged position of immunity to law, accountable to the same standards to which white American citizens are held. In the United States the Democrats demonize white Americans, not illegal aliens who commit murder of American citizens.

Who are the Democrats heroes? They are not George Washington or Thomas Jefferson. In their place the Democrats have George Floyd, who killed himself with an overdose of fentanyl. As monuments to George Washington and Thomas Jefferson come down, up go monuments to George Floyd, And tens of millions of totally stupid Americans still vote Democrat.

The Republicans are not all that much better, but at least they are not replacing statues of America’s founding fathers with statues of George Floyd.

Putin the Pathetic

Putin the Pathetic

Gilbert Doctorow raises in my mind the question whether Russia’s president is capable of his task.

“The two top issues that Putin dealt with at the very start of the Q&A were about the state of the war in Ukraine and the health of the Russian economy. His statements on both subjects were very, very disappointing – absolutely unworthy of the attention being given to this Direct Line domestically and internationally.

“On the war, Putin delivered the same worm’s eye view of the battlefield that we get day after day on Russian state news. This was not the Commander in Chief speaking. It was a platoon’s noncommissioned officer speaking. He talked about how the Russian forces are taking this hamlet on one front, another hamlet on another front, and the big cities of Kupyansk and Pokrovsk thrown in for good measure. He brought in a war hero who told us something about the fighting in the area of his unit. But Putin said nothing, absolutely nothing about where the war is going. about how Russia expects to force Ukraine to capitulate and in what time frame. Instead he spoke of continuing negotiations, which we all know are headed nowhere.

“On the subject of the economy, he fully backed the disastrous high interest rates policy of the Bank of Russia’s chief, Nabiullina. Yes, we had only 1% economic growth this year, he said. But it was done consciously to fight inflation and in certain sectors like manufacturing there was 3% growth. Maybe that is so, but of course, Putin is talking about manufacturing weapons not consumer goods, and if the consumer goods production is not going up, then inflation will not go down. That is Economics 101. He also acknowledged that the increase in labor productivity in 2025 has been a disappointing 1%. But that is largely dependent on companies’ investments in new, more efficient machines and equipment; no investment means no improvements in productivity. He also acknowledged that housing construction this year is down compared to a year earlier. None of this is good news if Russia is to maintain its rank as number 4 globally after India in GDP as measured by price parity. I think India’s GDP growth this year was close to 8%.”

Can we conclude from Putin’s incapacity that western men lack sufficient self-confidence to take decisive actions? Is Putin another example of men without the confidence to deal successfully with threats? It is extraordinary how weak western men are compared to Israelis, an ethnicity overflowing with self-confidence.

Julian Assange Is Back in Action — The Nobel peace prize was awarded in violation of Swedish law

18. Dezember 2025 - 13:58

Julian Assange Is Back in Action

The Nobel peace prize was awarded in violation of Swedish law

Paul Craig Roberts

Julian Assange has brought an “instrument of war” legal case against the Nobel Foundation for illegally awarding the Nobel peace prize to a war-monger advocating the invasion of her country, Venezuela, by the United States. Maria Corina Machado was awarded the peace prize by the Nobel committee most likely on orders from Washington in order to position a Venezuelan in a prominent position to advocate Washington’s military intervention in her own country.

It is Assange who should have been given the peace prize, not a war-mongering bitch playing macho-feminist.

Julian Assange correctly points out that the award of the peace prize to a war-monger violates Alfred Nobel’s will, which legally restricts peace prize funds to purposes that promote peace and bars their use to advance war and invasion of countries. The award of the peace prize to a Washington puppet has turned the peace prize into an instrument of war and is in violation of Swedish law.

Once again, the corrupt Washington establishment has shown its total disregard for law, which it treats as a weapon to serve its own agendas.

For a decade, Julian Assange was a victim of American, British and Swedish injustice. He was held for a decade without charges in conditions considered torture for doing his duty as a journalist and exposing brutal American war crimes–the machine-gunning from a helicopter of journalists walking down the street, the machine-gunning of a Good Samaritan who came to the aid of the dying people in the streets, the machine-gunning of toddlers, two and three-year-old kids. This was a blatant violation of law, and  the illegal incarceration of Assange was a blatant violation of Anglo-American habeas corpus. The western public came to Assange’s support, but the whore Western media defended the official narrative that he was a Russian agent who stole national security documents. That the United States government tried to bring such a totally false case against a journalist for doing his job  demonstrates the disrespect that Washington has for the rule of law. And Putin thinks he can make an agreement with a lawless government.  Greater fool he.

If Trump invades Venezuela under the false pretext that Venezuela is a narco state headed by alleged drug lord Maduro, the latest version of Saddam Hussein’s “weapons of mass destruction” and Assad’s “use of chemical weapons,” Trump will have terminated his own renewal of America and will go down in history as corrupt and destructive of America as Biden, Obama, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, and Bill Clinton.

I wonder what charges on which Washington will order its two-bit puppet Australia to arrest Assange.

The truth about Trump’s plot against Venezuela comes out of trump’s mouth

18. Dezember 2025 - 13:55

The truth about Trump’s plot against Venezuela comes out of trump’s mouth

Paul Craig Roberts

“Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest armada ever assembled in the history of South America. It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before – until such time as they return to the United States of America all of the oil, land, and other assets that they previously stole from us.” — President Donald Trump, December 17, 2025

Now we know what President Trump’s orchestrated Venezuelan crisis is all about. Trump is demanding that the Venezuelan government reverse its nationalization of its own assets that dates back to 1976 and turn the oil industry over to Washington.

Venezuela nationalized its oil industry in 1976. The state-owned company Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. was created to control oil resources previously in the hands of Exxon, Shell, and Mobil. A second phase of nationalization under Hugo Chávez in 2007 brought the remaining Orinoco Oil Belt projects under state control.  WhenTrump says Venezuela stole US oil he means Venezuela nationalized the resources that the United States stole from Venezuela. Trump’s actions against Venezuela amount to piracy and an attempt to loot and plunder the country and its resources. It is yet another example of Washington operating entirely outside the realm of law.

And Russia’s president Putin is so unrealistic that he thinks he can make an agreement with Trump to end a conflict that feeds the profits of the powerful American military-security complex.

Is it past time for the United States to have an industrial policy?

18. Dezember 2025 - 13:53

Is it past time for the United States to have an industrial policy?

Paul Craig Roberts

Mark Fasteau and Ian Fletcher have given us a well researched and thoroughly documented study of the important role that an industrial policy could play. In 692 pages of text, 107 pages of footnotes, 18 pages of bibliography, and 12 pages of index, the authors come close to exhausting the subject in their book, Industrial Policy for the United States.

Industrial policy was last heard of in the United States back in the 1970s and 1980s when a few on the liberal-left believed that the US economy required more government regulation than it had. At that time industrial policy had a bad reputation. It had been utilized in Japan.  Sony had been told not to manufacture and market quality sound, and Honda had been told not to enter automobile production. Both companies ignored the industrial policy, and their successes are well known stories.

Previously, I had no use for industrial policy, seeing it as just another opportunity for government to misdirect the economy.  In the passing years, events have made me see, in principal, the usefulness of an industrial policy. However, I doubt that industrial policy would be any more likely to escape being captured by interest groups than any other regulatory policy.

Nevertheless, the absence of an industrial policy also has costs. What brought industrial policy back to mind is the construction of large numbers of massive data centers in locations without sufficient electricity to power them and water to cool them. The implications for nearby communities are serious because of the impact on their power bills and water usage. Before communities are overwhelmed, sufficient studies should be done to discover if sufficient power and water exist for their operation and, if not, to evaluate the cost and time frame involved in preparing the area for the data centers and assigning the cost to the data centers.

Another example is government pressure to replace the combustion engine with electric vehicles. California, and if not California another blue state, passed or attempted to pass a law requiring all vehicles licensed in the state to be electric by a near term date. The legislation came naked of any study if it was possible to provide sufficient electricity to convert the vehicle fleet from combustion engines to electric. Already states such as California and Texas suffer brownouts during hot summer periods.

Another example is the Democrats’ policy of open borders that in recent years has brought into the United States, according to estimates, 30 million illegal immigrants. This massive tax and environmental burden was imposed on communities already in budget difficulties from the offshoring of manufacturing jobs and the shrinkage of the middle class tax base. The burden was imposed on communities that are already facing water supply difficulties. Alabama, Georgia and Florida are in legal conflict over the water originating in North Georgia that flows into the Gulf of Mexico via the Apalachicola river. Atlanta, a city that the absence of forethought permitted to outgrow its sustainable borders, refuses to release the water. There are many other examples in the southwest of cities grown too large sitting on top of depleting aquifers. In fracking areas wells and underground water have been polluted. The resource base of the activities undertaken was never considered.

In principal, a well functioning industrial policy would have first explored the capability of the affected regions to support the heavy energy and environmental needs of the activities undertaken.

Studies of the decline of civilizations, point to the over-exploitation of resources available to the civilization. Thus, it can be argued that the absence of industrial policy can lead to civilizational collapse. Perhaps realization of this would protect industrial policy from being captured and exploited to serve the self-interest of organized lobby groups.

Regardless, the issues raised in Industrial Policy for the United States should become part of public policy discussions and economists’ concerns.

The Trump Regime Is Falling Apart.

Dan Bongino to Resign as FBI Deputy Director

Appointees and supporters, such as Marjorie Taylor Greene, cannot tolerate Trump’s subservience to Netanyahu.

Israel has succeeded in preventing America’s recovery and has confined America to the trash can of history.  A Sodom and Gomorrah Tower of Babel is arising in America’s place. It is becoming a country consumed in mutual hatred especially against white heterosexual real Christians who hold to traditional American values.
