For those who are unfamiliar with him, John Helmer is an Australian born, Harvard educated journalist who has been living in Moscow since 1989 and who is best known for his web platform Dancing with Bears. His long residence in Moscow, his broad contacts with political elites there and his diligence at investigative reporting all mean that Helmer fills his articles like this one with invaluable insider’s talk. However, the question is whether his assembly of the facts at his disposal and his overall interpretation are as good as his skills at bringing to our attention little known connections between state actors.  I have my doubts, which I will set out here.
In the given case, Helmer focuses attention on a certain Vladimir Medinsky, the man most widely known in the West as Putin’s chief negotiator in the March 2022 Russia-Ukraine peace talks in Istanbul that produced a lengthy draft treaty that was initialed by both sides but subsequently was rejected by Zelensky at the urging of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Helmer intimates that Medinsky was working on the side of the oligarchs back in March 2022 for a settlement that would end the conflict with minimal loss to the oligarchs’ interests and at the cost of Russia’s national interests. Moreover, he sees the same likelihood should Medinsky now be reappointed by Putin to lead the next round of peace talks, which appears probable given his recent reappearance at top state meetings relating to the Ukraine war.
Helmer airs the attacks that some high military officers have made on the political leadership of Putin going into peace talks. The suggestion is that Putin has been aligned with the oligarchs in Round One of the peace talks and cannot be trusted now.  As for Medinsky, Helmer somewhat gratuitously tells us that he was born in Ukraine. He talks about Medinsky’s dubious merits during his term as Culture Minister which ended in the fall of 2019 when Putin reassigned him to be a presidential adviser. That was his title when, out of nowhere, Medinsky was made chief negotiator.

I take a personal interest in the discussion of Medinsky because he is someone whom I actually met back in the autumn of 2019 when he was still Culture Minister and visited various seminars within the St Petersburg Cultural Forum that Helmer mentions at the start of his essay. Medinsky spent perhaps 20 or 30 minutes with the dozen of us sitting around a seminar table. This was enough time to understand that he was a shallow chap. Subsequently I looked closely at the whole series of Russian history books that were published over Medinsky’s name for use in Russian secondary schools.  None of them was impressive from an academic point of view, though they all were strongly patriotic. Indeed, Medinsky’s chief goal as Culture Minister was to restore patriotism to the school curricula. I also became acquainted back then with the allegations over possible plagiarism by Medinsky in his dissertation. These charges eventually were dropped but certainly tarnished his name.
Nonetheless, I must ask how this bears on his role as chief negotiator in the peace talks?  Helmer chooses to ignore that the biggest failing of Medinsky as Culture Minister and as author-editor of history books was his overbearing patriotism, or nationalism, if you will. 
Mention of Medinsky’s birth and early years in Ukraine is really a false scent if Helmer intends to impune his zeal for defending Russian interests.  In Soviet times, Party and military families moved jobs and lived all across the USSR. If you look at the upper echelons of Russia’s political establishment, you will find a great many examples of Russians who grew up in Ukraine and/or come from mixed marriages.  The Number Three ranking politician, chairwoman of the upper house of parliament, Valentina Matviyenko, is a case in point.
Would Medinsky have negotiated a treaty with Kiev that betrayed Russia’s state interests?  I think that has to be excluded. After all, he did not go into the talks as sole negotiator, only as the lead.  At his side there was Leonid Slutsky, who was present in his capacity as Chairman of the Duma Committee for International Affairs. Slutsky was/is the successor to the arch nationalist founder of the LDPR party Vladimir Zhirinovsky, who, we were recently reminded by Russian state television, was saying back in 2014 that Ukraine is not a country but a collection of beggars who should not be given one ruble (this when Putin was offering them $15 billion to keep them on Russia’s side and out of the clutches of the EU). Accordingly, Slutsky’s  complicity in a sell-out of Russian interests, of a capitulation to satisfy oligarchs, is unthinkable.
We do not have the original text of the March 2022 draft treaty to inspect. But the very fact that it was not a dozen pages long but well more than a hundred, that it was a couple of inches thick, tells us that the terms governing Ukraine’s future military and state status were very detailed, meaning almost certainly that Russia’s security interests and the welfare of the Russian speakers in what remained of Ukraine would be assured.
Helmer does well to call our attention to the contradictory voices in the Russian civilian and military elites. He also does well to pose questions about Vladimir Putin’s judgment in pursuing a ‘gently, gently’ policy and ignoring the violation of Russia’s red lines by NATO for far too long. 
But that last issue would appear to be behind us. The latest definition of Russia’s nuclear doctrine was as tough as tough can be.  It seems that the Putin government has turned a corner, something which the longtime critic of Putin’s gentlemanly ways, Paul Craig Roberts, celebrates in his latest web essay.

The Democrats Are Doing Every Possible Thing to Enable Immigrant-invaders to vote.

Democrats are passing laws to make sure that a non-citizen who just walked across the border has a vote equal to a United States native-born citizen. Immigrant-invaders are given federal IDs which entitle them to drivers’ licenses. Many jurisdictions automatically enroll driver license recipients on the voting list.

Two days ago California’s Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill preventing local governments from requiring voters to present identification at the polls. The Democrats call it Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. DEI is not for us racist white supremacy citizens, the American majority. It is for the immigrant-invaders who just walked across the border. It is even worse than that. The Biden/Kamala Regime are using our taxpayers dollars to finance NGOs to recruit from 150 countries immigrant invaders and to provide them with transportation, to Latin America and with food, water, medical care, and sleeping quarters as they march to our border. When Washington’s recruits of immigrant-invaders reach the border, federal and local authorities are required to let them in.

Nothing is being done about it. The Republican House and Senate Democrats have not cut off the funding that is flooding America with crime and people unable to support themselves. How do uneducated people who do not speak the language become a work force? How do tens of millions of people who do not speak the language and do not have a first world education become a work force in a first world country?

It is the same throughout the Western world. The European Council on Foreign Relations published a report a few days ago on September 25 by Pawel Zerka, obviously not a Western European name. The report published by the European Council concluded that Europe is too white and too European. So here we have Europeans turning Europe’s fate over to someone who intends to bring upon them the Camp of the Saints. Perhaps people this stupid deserve their destruction.

To underline the point, Marine Le Pen, the leader of the largest French political party that is kept out of political office by conspiracy of the ruling elite, has been placed on trial. The false charges are that she and her party embezzled EU funds. This is such a nonsensical charge as to be mind blowing. The EU is not going to give any funds to a French NATIONALIST political party. And even if it mysteriously happened, Le Pen is not sufficiently stupid, having target written all over her, to embezzle them.

But in the Western world today truth is of zero consequence. Law is nothing else but a weapon to destroy those in the way of the Woke Agenda.

John Helmer Reporting from Moscow Indicates that Putin Is Preparing Russia’s Surrender

From the beginning of the Ukraine conflict I have said that Putin would have to conquer Ukraine or surrender. The latest information from Moscow suggests that Putin has chosen to surrender, with surrender defined by Putin giving up enough of his goals for the Special Military Operation to get a peace agreement. How many and what they would be is not known.

At first glance, if Putin has made such a choice, it is an honorable, humane decision that places the life of the planet above Russian national sovereignty. Putin, of course, will not get any credit for it. The official narrative will be a defeated Russia got the best deal it could.` But at second glance, Putin’s surrender to the West merely kicks the can down the road.

Putin’s surrender could undermine his support and Russian unity and encourage Washington’s effort to breakup the Russian Federation into several small countries that lack the ability to serve as a constraint on American hegemony. The Russian military is opposed to trading concessions for peace, and Putin has removed one of his critics.

Helmer reports that one month after the Russia-Ukraine conflict began, Putin, who has no taste for war, sent a peacemaker, Vladimir Medinsky, to Instanbul to negotiate peace with Ukraine. Medinsky appears to be an Atlanticist Integrationist, who thinks Russia can build bridges to the West with cultural exhibitions, orchestral and ballet performances, and museum exhibits. Apparently, he believes this despite the Wests’s ban on any semblance of Russian culture, including Olympic athletes.

The Russian military rejected the peace terms Medinsky negotiated in Turkey. Fortunately for Putin, Washington made Ukraine reject them, saving Putin from a confrontation with the Russian military.

Now approaching three years of a conflict that a real national leader would have ended in 3 weeks, Putin has his back to the wall. There is no space left to which to retreat. Faced with US/NATO missiles fired into Russia, Putin says it means World War. If Putin backs down again, Russia is finished. As Putin doesn’t want war, he is willing to make concessions for peace and has instructed Medinsky to negotiate a peace agreement. The world should thank Putin, because Russia will pay a price.

The Russian military, or at least significant parts of it, are concerned that concessions will play as a defeat and have adverse effects on Russia. Fleet commander, Admiral Sergei Avakyant, removed from command by Putin, and Deputy Chairman Medvedev of the Russian National Security Council view concessions as unacceptable. Helmer speculates whether the military will remove Putin. If so, I would imagine his replacement would be a more hardlined person.

What follows is from Helmer’s report:

“Medinsky’s version of the end-of-war terms is flatly opposed by the General Staff. In the Security Council the General Staff’s case is argued by Deputy Chairman Medvedev. Medinsky’s appearance at the Security Council last week is a sign, Moscow sources believe, of the intensification of the debate between the Army and the President.  

In an unusual disclosure of military command thinking, the former Pacific Fleet commander, Admiral Sergei Avakyants,  has written earlier this month that “despite its external logic and attractiveness”, the Medinsky terms for ending the Special Military Operation “lead to a catastrophe that threatens to become the last and most tragic in the history of the Russian people. In Russia, it is dangerous for the current government to lose wars, especially when for a long time this government held parades and convinced the people of the invincibility of their native army. Defeat will cause disappointment and loss of faith, but not in the army, rather in the political leadership.”

Avakyants was warning Putin publicly. In private, Putin had ordered Avakyants’s dismissal in April.  No Russian military blogger has reported the circumstances of the clash between Avakyants and the Kremlin.   

According to Admiral Avakyants’s declaration of military independence from the Kremlin, “the pressure on Russia from its historical opponents will only increase, and the escalation process will enter an irreversible phase. The enormous resources currently invested in the indirect hot war of the collective West against our country will be redirected to finance all destructive and anti-state forces (regional separatism, ‘the fight against the rotten corrupt regime’, ‘the promotion of universal freedoms and values’, etc.). Various states ‘historically offended’ by our country will begin to make territorial claims against Russia from all sides.”

“The sanctions will not be lifted, but they may take even harsher and more painful forms for our economy. Part of the elite — weakened but still strong compradors, the remaining part of the ‘fifth column’ in the country [intellectuals and Atlanticist Integrationists] will painlessly adapt to the conditions of the collapse of the state. The country’s leadership, elite groups directly integrated into state structures, will be destroyed (politically, economically, and some even physically). No one will be forgiven, and no one will be forgotten.”

“It is very important for the West to once again demonstrate to the entire world what awaits the ‘rebels’ who have encroached on its model of world order. There is no hope for support from allies due to the absence of any (except Belarus). It will be necessary to answer a very difficult question that is already forming in the public consciousness: ‘For what were so many sacrifices made if the goals of the Donbas operation are not achieved, and if peace is concluded at the expense of fundamental concessions to enemies which means a defeat for Russia?’ The people, having once again lost their ‘Faith’ and ‘Tsar’, will remain silent, watching the collapse of their ‘Fatherland’. All this will not happen overnight, but by historical standards very quickly – in five to seven years.”

“To avoid all this, Russia must choose the second option. It can be briefly described in two words – ‘Fight and Victory’. This option is unattractive and uncomfortable. It requires the leadership to assume the heaviest burden of responsibility, implement unpopular decisions, change the usual, established way of life for millions of people, introduce a different system of values and life priorities for the ruling elite. ‘Option No. 2 will require (for some time) exerting all efforts, attracting new personnel selected on the basis of professionalism, patriotism and the prevalence of the interests of society and the state over personal ones. It will be necessary to carry out a significant reorganization and restructuring of various government structures and a significant part of the entire state mechanism.”

In Avakyants’s outline of end-of-war terms, he proposes negotiations after military victory. “The victory must be unconditional – neither enemies, nor partners, nor our own people should have even the slightest doubt that this is Russia’s Victory. The goals declared by the President must be achieved without fail: access to the 2014 administrative borders of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions; denazification – a change of the ruling regime in Ukraine, a change in the Constitution of Ukraine and current legislation (permission for the UOC [Ukrainian Orthodox Church], official bilingualism, a ban on Nazi-Bandera ideology, etc.);  demilitarization – constitutionally activated neutral status of Ukraine, prohibition of deployment on its territory of foreign military bases and military contingents (including advisers and instructors), heavy weapons, types of weapons capable of threatening the territory of Russia; after the invasion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces into the Kursk region, Ukrainian statehood in its current form should not exist or, in extreme cases, can be preserved, but weakened as much as possible.” 

If Putin’s fails to defend Russia, the failure will open the discussion to “conspiracy theorists” that Putin is nothing but a compliant member of the World Economic Forum’s globalism, the agenda of which is the destruction of national sovereignty, including Russia’s, and the unification of the world under a global ruler.

If Putin said this, he is correct. The question is why does he think an indoctrinated Russophobic population is capable of halting Armageddon? Only Putin could have stopped the approaching war by being firm and quickly prevailing over Ukraine. Instead Putin allowed a war to go on and on needlessly, thus enabling the West to become engaged in the conflict. This could go down as the greatest strategic military mistake in history, the mistake that destroyed the world in nuclear war.

Even if Americans were capable of liberating themselves from the controlled narratives, what can they do? Nothing. They are powerless. Elections are stolen, and the people’s rare representatives such as Trump, Tulsi Gabbard, Cynthia McKinney, are demonized. The Rasmussen Poll actually found that 28% of Democrat voters pray for Trump’s assassination.

Why?

Trump is the only national leader since Reagan who represents the American people. What has happened to Americans that they want to vote against the person who stands for them?

In the United States all intelligence has been sucked out of the population. The schools teach that whites are racists and that you might have been born into the wrong body, thus confusing kids about their gender. In “free America” it is possible for a child without parents’ approval and even knowledge to undergo sex change operations. In Democrat states parents who object to the mutilation of their sons and daughters can be arrested as child abusers.

Today in “America the free” we are witnessing the worst form of tyranny that has ever existed on earth.

The tyranny of Stalin, Mao, and Hitler are mild compared to the tyranny that dumbshit insouciant Americans are bringing down on themselves.

At the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke about the futility of conducting military operations against Russia, emphasizing its status as a nuclear power. He also called on countries offering peace initiatives to resolve the conflict in Ukraine to take into account the root causes of the crisis. The suicidal adventure of the West

Sergey Lavrov expressed the opinion that London and Washington are setting Europe up for a conflict with Moscow, which he described as a “suicidal adventure.” Lavrov mentioned that there is a goal to hit Russia strategically, comparing the current intentions with the secretly developed “Unthinkable” plan in May 1945, which aimed to destroy the Soviet Union. The minister noted that unlike in the past, modern Anglo-Saxon strategies do not hide their intentions and, although they currently expect to defeat Russia with the help of the Kiev regime, which he called neo-Nazi and illegitimate, they also prepare Europe for participation in this conflict.

Nord Stream investigation

The Russian Foreign Minister stressed the need for the UN Secretariat to participate in the investigation of incidents such as the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines and the events in Bucha. Lavrov expressed the opinion that the Americans are trying to deny their involvement in the incidents and hide the facts, similar to what they did in the case of the “Nord Stream”.

He also accused the West of trying to hide the truth about various crimes, including the provocation in Bucha and the poisoning of Russian citizens. Lavrov pointed to the duty of the UN Secretariat to act impartially and avoid supporting the interests of individual countries, in accordance with Article 100 of the UN Charter, especially in situations affecting global security.

Threats from NATO

Lavrov expressed concern about the actions of NATO, which, in his opinion, are aimed at strengthening its positions in the Transcaucasia, Central Asia and the Asia-Pacific region, which poses threats to Russia’s security. He pointed out that the alliance has been expanding over the past three decades, creating direct threats to Russia’s security and undermining the security architecture in the Asia-Pacific region. The Foreign Minister also noted that the West blames not only Russia, but also China, Belarus, North Korea and Iran for creating threats to its dominance.

Undermining trust in the UN

Lavrov criticized the UN Secretariat for promoting Western narratives and undermining the organization’s credibility. He said that if the Secretary-General calls for a reset of global cooperation, then the Secretariat should promote unification and offer compromises, rather than justify narratives that benefit the West. According to him, to inspire a new life in the UN, it is necessary to restore trust based on the principle of sovereign equality of all states.

Putin Proved Me Correct

For years I have warned that Putin’s refusal to quickly win the conflict with Ukraine would result in increasing Western intervention until the conflict spins out of control. That has now happened.

NATO’s Secretary General and the British Prime Minister have given a green light to NATO firing missiles into Russia from Ukraine. The green light is subject to Washington’s veto. Zelensky, the Ukrainian dictator whose term as president has expired, was reportedly recently in Washington lobbying the Biden regime to give its approval.

Be sure you understand what Zelensky is lobbying the Biden regime to do. If the Biden regime gives the go-ahead, Europe, the US, and Ukraine will be destroyed.

Here is Putin’s statement. It is a back-to-the-wall statement, as I predicted it would be:

“Aggression against Russia by any non-nuclear state, with the participation or support of a nuclear state, is to be considered as a joint attack on the Russian Federation.”

So, as I correctly predicted would be the case, a never-ending conflict that drew in the West to increasingly provocative participation has spun out of control. So far everything Washington said would not be done has been done. The final red line is NATO sending missiles into Russia. If this no-no also becomes a yes-yes “because Putin never responds,” war is upon us.

It has played out precisely as I said. Yet, I was either ignored by “experts” who are nothing but mouthpieces for the military-security complex, or denounced by fools as “blood-thirsty.” The fact remains: one more wrong decision from the White House and we are history.

Remember, it was Trump who wanted to normalize relations with Russia. The crazed CIA director called the President of the United States a “traitor.” Trump’s own Justice (sic) Department and FBI and the American presstitute media along with Hillary Clinton and the Democrat Party fabricated a Russiagate case against Trump, brought two false impeachments against him, cooked up stripper gate, documents gate, and an “insurrection.” One thousand Americans who exercised their First Amendment rights were sentenced by a totally corrupt DOJ to prison. Once Trump announced a second campaign for the presidency, the false accusations were turned into false indictments.

All of this was done to prevent peace with Russia.

If there is peace with Russia, the military/security complex loses its enemy, which means its power and its budget.

Could Helene have been a DARPA Creation?

I went to sleep early the evening of September 26 expecting a 130 mph hurricane Helene to pass directly over my home at about midnight. I woke up at 12:30 AM. Did not hear hurricane winds. I woke again at 3:30 AM. Too quiet. I fought off the thought that Helene had stalled just offshore and was working itself up into a 150-160 mph Category 5+, but managed to go back to sleep. My cats roused me at 6AM. A tiny bit of light from a morning that was trying to get underway, and no destruction. And no power. In my pre-coffee morning I tried to put them together: no destruction, no sign of any wind or rain, but no power.

With a gas burner I made coffee and ventured out looking for downed trees and shingles off the roof. A couple of large tree limbs but little else. I started to think I was still asleep having a good dream.

I located an old battery powered radio that miraculously worked and learned that at the last few minutes the eye which had experienced trouble maintaining itself had wobbled to the east about 55 miles east of me and south as it came ashore at Perry, Florida. Tallahassee, the state capital, was expecting devastation, but it was Perry to the southeast that took the hit.

The weather channel and the national TV networks are selling advertising. They play the hurricanes as if it is gladiators in the Roman colosseum fighting to the death against human opponents or lions. That Americans eat this up shows their enjoyment of violence. Increasingly, violence is America’s entertainment. Consider the extreme violence of American movies, the extreme violence of video games, the extreme violence of politics with law used as a weapon even against Donald Trump while he was in office, the extreme violence of the US and Israel against the Palestinians, the provocation of Russia into war.

Americans are entertained by violence. That is why there are no peace movements as the world awaits the West’s response to Putin’s statement that missiles fired into Russia means world war.

Back to the hurricane. Many people left the expected hurricane landing area because of the likely destruction. But not one word in the presstitute media of the destruction that would result from the White House’s decision to strike Russia with missiles.

As I am experiencing it, I can attest that it is an inconvenience not having access to water, power, and communication, but this inconvenience is nothing compared to the inconveniences that go with nuclear war. Nuclear war is the ultimate hell. It is identical to going to Hell. Everything should be done to avoid it. Instead the Satanists in Washington and Europe are encouraging it. The majority of the American people are more worried about their golf score, their college football team’s performance in the game against the main rival, and whether their teenage daughters are taking their birth control pills.

The first of the deep state’s assassination attempts on Trump was in Pennsylvania. The Democrat Pennsylvania government left the investigation in the hands of the FBI, which many believe was responsible for the attempt. The Secret Service is being blamed because of incompetence resulting from the Biden regime’s DEI policies. The Republicans are unwilling to go any further. They are satisfied with the conclusion that replacing merit with inclusiveness destroyed the capability of the US Secret Service.

Unlike Democrat Pennsylvania, Florida’s state government has asserted the right to investigate the second assassination attempt on Trump as it occurred in Florida. This concerns the FBI, which tried to block Florida’s investigation. Why? If the official FBI narrative is correct, an incompetent Secret Service is to blame. The incompetent element is meant to exonerate the deep state from suspicion.

Let’s look at a conspiracy theory as described by those who are paid to control the permissible narratives.

For many years the US Government has financed the HAARP investigations funded by the US Air Force, Navy, and DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects).

HAARP’s purpose is to investigate the potential for developing ionospheric enhancement technology that could be used to excite weather conditions in an area of the ionosphere. In other words, it is possibly a program to weaponize weather disguised as experiments to enhancement radio communications and surveillance, just as law and news “reporting” have been weaponized. Or the program could be what it is said to be.

As we have neither an honest media nor an honest government, we cannot know.

Suspicious people ask how official spokespersons knew in advance that Helene was heading for Tallahassee. No one knows where a hurricane is going or with what strength until 15 minutes before it hits. Helene is an example. In the last few minutes it hit far to the east.

Helene had trouble forming, and it had trouble holding together. Washington would have an interest in sending a storm DeSantis’ way. The Florida governor has gotten in Washington’s way before, and he is in the way again with a state investigation of the second attempt on Trump. Florida in chaos dependent on federal aid would be more compliant.

Meteorologists avoid these questions. Government scientists say we cannot influence local weather, but the same scientists say we are causing global warming, from which Bill Gates wants to save us by spraying particles into the atmosphere. Meanwhile “conspiracy theorists” continue to claim that the US government is filling the atmosphere with aluminum particles. People have been mucking around with weather for decades. I remember watching rockets being fired to seed the clouds to make it rain. The best way to dispose of conspiracy theories is to objectively examine them, not shout them down. Shouting them down implies that the evidence is on their side and must be suppressed.

Fact checkers, who know nothing about the topics that they “fact check” but who rely on CNN, NPR, NY Times, and the rest of the narrative protectors for their “facts,” describe unwelcome information and questions as “disinformation,” “fake news,” “Russian propaganda,” “racist,” “anti-semitic.” This is a way of disposing of questions, not addressing them.

Democracy fails when the choice of a president turns on which candidate elicits voters’ emotional response. A recent Rasmussen Poll found that emotions such as hatred will play a significant part in the choice of president with 28% of Democrats wishing for Trump’s assassination. Is a Rasmussen Poll disinformation? What does it mean when more that a quarter of Democrats are going to vote hatred?

Not everything labeled conspiracy theory is. The American people who the Founders relied upon to pay attention and to defend their rights have failed the Founders. A majority of Americans do not even know what the US Constitution says. They do not comprehend that the United States is the Constitution, and that the destruction by the liberal woke Democrats and university law schools of the US Constitution is the destruction of our country. We are living in a time of treason.

The US Congress has lost its authority to regulatory agencies. Congress no longer even has the power to make law. The regulatory agencies make law according to how they wish the law to be by how they write the regulations that define the law.

The executive branch ignores Congress and refuses to be held accountable.

The judiciary is collapsing as Democrats and George Soros put on the courts ideologues who intend to use law as a weapon against enemies.

Americans are an easy mark, because they are too insouciant and too gullible to believe that “their government” would behave in such ways. The First Amendment is being hacked down. Once Americans cannot speak, they are done for. They will wave the flag as they are marched to their doom.
